Arba Minch College of Education is a public institution in Ethiopia focused on training educators. Our programs prepare students for the right jobs with the right skills, knowledge and attitude required. They also help students develop the critical thinking, teamwork skills, and effective communication abilities that employers increasingly demand from employees. Our College provides opportunities and inspires students to achieve their goals through all its activities.It is well known that the preparation of the Teacher Education Curriculum Framework was completed in 2014 EC and dispatched to all colleges of teacher education for implementation. The Information Technology Department is one of the departments included in this framework and has been training students since its intake in 2015 EC. During the concluding 2017 fiscal year, the Information Technology Department performed various tasks. For the upcoming 2018 fiscal year, the department plans to carry out various activities to enhance the educational process alongside its regular teaching and learning duties.

The major duties and responsibilities of The Office of The Registrar and Alumni are to:


  • Lead, coordinate and oversee responsibilities for development and management of graduate and undergraduate academic programs, continuing and distance education, teaching and learning support, staff affairs, office of the registrar, library, and academic standards and quality enhancement.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of plans, policies, rules and guidelines governing academic programs, academic and technical staff, and students.
  • Coordinate periodic academic program reviews and work with academic units in the review, study, and development of curriculum and in the improvement of instruction.
  • Ensure the employment and promotion of academic staff is consistent with the College’s rules and procedures.
  • Support and ensure the programs of study; prepare and supply qualified graduates in knowledge, skills, and attitudes on the basis of the existing needs of the country.
  • Facilitate the accomplishment of the College’s mission and its academic goals through the establishment of programs, policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Closely work with the Dean to assist in and provide support on academic affairs.
